Unhealthy foods are unhealthy at any age, but after we turn 30 our bodies become progressively less able to tolerate junk food. You may have already noticed that certain foods trouble you more than they used to. It’s smart to be thinking about this now. As you approach middle age, your risk of developing certain diseases also increases. Diet plays a huge part in the prevention of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
Here is the list of foods that You Should Never Eat After Age 30.
Flavored yogurt:
If you want to eat yogurt and fruits, you are better off purchasing them separately and mixing them in a bowl. Flavored yogurts are often filled with added sugar. Just a small 8-ounce serving of the sweet dessert can have as many as 47 grams of sugar, which is really bad for health.
Canned Soup:
A study published in 2013 found a connection between high blood pressure and aging skin. The connection between the two is not entirely clear but could it really hurt to cut back blood pressure raising sodium? Many popular canned soup brands contain 40% of your daily sodium in just one serving! You should also avoid these soups because many of the cans are lined with BPA which has been linked to weight gain, cancer, and infertility.
Anything with a straw:
Here’s one you probably never thought about. If you habitually use a straw with your beverages, you will start to develop lines and wrinkles around your mouth due to the pursing motion required to suck up fluid. After the age of 25, the collagen in our skin starts to break down and this is when repetitive actions are likely to causing wrinkling
Processed Meats:
No more processed meats or bacon! Nitrates help processed meat look more appetizing. However, nitrates become cancer-causing chemicals in your body. Avoid processed meat with nitrates – even organic nitrate.
Farmed fish:
Unfortunately, up to 70% of the fish you’ll find at your local market is farmed fish. But you really want to avoid it because farmed fish are so overcrowded that they eat each other’s feces. They are fed a diet full of antibiotics to compensate, as well as food dyed specifically to tint the meat in a way that makes it look healthy.
Energy drinks:
Energy drinks are infamously popular and notoriously bad for you, mostly because they are full of sugar. Your endothelial function is acutely worse after consuming the beverage.
